2nd Japanese class

Second lesson moved on much faster than the first. Basically started off with revision or whatever was taught in the previous lesson, and then we had spelling/dictation test. Thank goodness sensei gave us a chance to revise before the test.

After that, we moved on to new phrases, such as asking for a person’s name (namae)/occupation(shigoto) /age (ikutsu). I think my brain cells are almost used up, coz I am starting to find it more challenging to remember things. Even after taking down notes, I could still say the phrase(s) wrongly.

After phrases, we went on to the next two sets of hiragana: さしすせそ|たちつてと and common terms using this set of hiragana. Don’t ask me what was taught, I seriously cannot remember all the words other than くつ which is shoes. Am gonna die during the next lesson’s spelling test, definitely!

Question to all those who know Japanese: which is the correct particle to use when saying “My name is {name}”:
(1) Watashi wa namae {name} desu.
(2) Watashi no namae {name} desu.

I remember taking down version (1) as per what Sensei mentioned during class, but notice version (2) is mentioned when I watch Japanese drama serials (namely Liar Game). Seriously confused now!
