Kite flying

Went out this morning with Hubba and friends C and D, to attempt kite flying. The weather was good and there seemed to be ample wind. So after we had Macs breckkie, we headed out to a large plot of state land along Tampines Grande.

Nice weather

Turned out the wind did not last long. Also D's kite was a little too heavy for the wind we had, so the kite couldn't stay up for too long.

Drop in the wind, causing the kite to dip.

Hubba also tried his hand on flying the kite, but the timing was bad for him coz the wind changed direction:

After a while, we kind of gave up on the wind altogether. Perhaps we should head towards the more windy areas next time like Marina Barage or West Coast if we should ever attempt to fly kites again.

Burger dinner

Hubba was on course today and in the neighbourhood so we decided to eat out. As usual Hubba went to research on new food to eat and so this is where we had dinner:

Burgers were good but I think the fries could have been sliced thinner and shorter so that they would be crispy. I kinda regret getting the croquette though coz it was a little too much starch after a while. But overall, burgers were still yummy.

Delayed posts of last weekend

Last weekend was pretty happening, hence I didn't managed to blog about it, even though I had already uploaded some stuff and activities that happened after it.

Saturday, 14 November:

Went out with Hubba's colleagues to support WJ in a freestyle slalom competition. It was pretty cool and some of the competitors were so young, they made me feel small. In fact, the youngest competitor of the slalom competition was a 7-year-old.

Sunday, 15 November:

Hubba's brother's wedding. Hubba spent the night back at his folks' place so that he could help out in the morning. I met him and bro-in-law at the bride's place coz it was nearer to home. From then on, it was non-stop action as Hubba and I were supposed to keep time and help out in almost everything. It really felt like we were running a marathon, with all the behind-the-scenes work. Despite all the busy-ness, I still manage to still some photos here and there, though not so much during the lunch reception.

Kurobuta Special

Hubba & I went out to do our grocery shopping and decided to eat at Tonkichi TM by chance. It ended up being a great choice coz they were having the Kurobuta Special Promotion. Here's what we had:

Dinner with colleagues

Had a great time shopping and makaning with my colleagues this evening, trapsing around various parts of Bugis. We had dinner at Lai Lai Family Restaurant, on WK's suggestion, which was quite good and value for money.

Parents' night

Made a date with Mumsy to have facial this evening. Not to make Pops feel left out, we asked him to join us later for dinner after the facial.

After the facial was done, we had dinner at TCC and had a cool time chatting and sharing. Of course I didn't forget to capture photos of our foodies:

Drinks to share: Nutello espresso. This was pure heaven, and a must-try for all coffee lovers. I had 2 cups on my own!

On the way home, I just had to capture the beautiful Christmas lights along Orchard:

Chit chat continued later when we reached home. Since Hubba hadn't returned home, I spent time at my parents' instead. It was just as well as Kenshin was to follow me home for the night. Here is the patient fellow lying and waiting for me to make good of my promise with his favourite bear:

So now after 2 cups of espresso and a few hours of chit chat, I'm having problems finding dreamland. Argh!
