Hubba & I had an artsy date tonight, just coz I was in town and in the mood to extend the weekend.

Dinner was at 7atenine, at the Esplanade. Things were a little costly, and somehow Hubba & I didn't feel very satisfied after the meal. Maybe the serving size was just too small... However, I have to say for once, Hubba's choice of the Foie Gras Burger was really worth it, for $28. The two pieces of foie gras that was placed above the burger patty between two mini buns was de-licious! My ribeye was so-so... the middle of the meat may have been nicely done, but the outer bits were a little too charred for my liking. I think comparing this to the one I had at North Border @ Rochester Park, I prefer the one at North Border.

After dinner, we had a nice stroll along the breezy area of Esplanade Park towards Victoria Concert Hall to The Arts House to take a look at the cats photos on exhibition at the Cats of the World. The photos were really well taken, and I must say it took quite a fair bit of self-control not to tear the cute photos from the frames after looking at all the exhibits.

Find out more about this exhibition at http://gattidelmondo.blogspot.com/.

When we managed to tear ourselves away from the kitty photos, and I actually managed to tweet about it, we headed back to Esplanade to see if there was anything interesting playing at the Concourse. And as usual, there was, so we managed to catch up the last half hour of the band's performance before heading home.

Didn't catch the name of the band...

Now am trying to find songs featured on the new PSP game that Hubba bought, Rock Band Unplugged. For some reason, it's good to listen to those 90s music again... not to mention that it helps to know the songs when playing the game. Boy... am I hooked!

Picked Hubba up from work today after my appointment and we decided to try out something new at Rochester Park.

Here's what we had:

We also had the chilli ice cream... which was totally consumed before I even remembered to take a photo of it. :P

The food was yummilicious! My ribeye was superbly done and even the fats were so good, I cleaned the plate (with Hubba's help). Hubba's ribs met his standard as well, as he almost literally licked every last morsel from his plate. The chilli ice cream was a nice surprise. Pleasantly cold at first, you don't quite taste the chilli taste till it slides down your throat. And then wham! The chilli hotness hits you at the throat, though pretty subtly. Really amazing!

Only bummer was that pricing was a little on the steep end, as our dinner cost us more than $100, inclusive of drinks (a glass of Sangria for Hubba and a Shirley Temple for me), and of course tax and service charge. But I guess, that's probably expected since Rochester is seemingly marketed for those with deeper pockets, I should say.

My take: Do visit them if you feel you have the extra cash to spare. One should always treat oneself whenever possible, I say.

Hubba & I headed down to Parkway to meet Kai for a pool sesh. Thought that I would be able to play, since my stiff neck felt better. But heck, I couldn't even bend over the cue properly to aim. So I ended up spending the couple of hours watching them play. Kai initially trashed Hubba in 8-ball, by a wide margin. However, as 8-ball was a little long-winded and less challenging to play, they ended up switching to play 9-ball.

After understanding the slightly more complicated concept of 9-ball, Hubba somehow managed to make a come back and win 3 of 4 games of 9-ball. Although he still made some funny moves that had us tickled during the game. Pity I didn't bring a camera to take shots of the game.

Think Hubba needs more practice in the game. Hopefully the next time we meet up for another game of pool, my neck would have regained its proper mobility. Perhaps in the mean time, we probably need to brush up our skills in the game, in order to avoid getting trashed the next time round.

Updated: Just got this off Kai, think Hubba looks a little stylo in this shot:

Just back from watching "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". One word to sum it up: Sucky.

Why? Big time spoilers here )

Of course, for someone who is as stressed out as I am, it provides for good entertainment, to allow the stressed out individual to laugh at all the ridiculous parts of movie and de-stress. At least that was one good outcome of the show. And both Hubba and I got to hang out with some friends to have some fun as well.

On other things...

Why is Loudtwitter down??? I just checked the website and realised the server is down and they might not revive it! Argh... past 3 days worth of Tweets not cross-posted. Found an alternative called Twittinesis, but not sure how good it is, as there is no way to customise the Tweets that are cross-posted. Have to see the cross-posts generated by it tomorrow. If anyone has a better alternative, please let me know.

Was deeply saddened to hear of Michael Jackson's sudden death yesterday. Been looking out for my fav dance routine of his, and only managed to find this today. Somehow, his Thriller dance video has always been my fav, and luckily I found this vid that juz featured the dance portion from the MTV. Enjoy!

Got hooked on this song after hearing it played a couple of times on the radio. Hubba didn't know of it's existence till we saw the MTV in Barcelona. Haa... As usual, the music crazy lover tweeted this, and since it's such a cool vid, I thought I'd post it for all to see too. Enjoy!
